| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | [EN] The Turkish series naturalize, reproduce, and reinforce maternity models and put a strain on the woman-mother configuration. This research studies the representation of characters from Las Mil y Una Nochesand Fuerza de Mujer, through content analysis thatshows that maternity in terms of gender roles in these programs responds to what was proposed by Hays (1998) and Green (2004) as “intensive mothers”, dedicated exclusively to care. It is suggested that an intensive mother can be independent and variationsin the representation are distinguished considering the year of issue. When compared to the first Turkish broadcast in Spanish, the most recent shows more independent, confident and understanding mothers, which is interpreted as a maternal readjustment inthis industry. | es_ES |
