dc.description.abstract[EN] Fairy tales have historically played a vital role in child education, teaching societal values and moral insights. These stories, rich in metaphor, deeply resonate with children, helping them comprehend their world and develop cognitive skills. In educational settings, they are not only tools for language development, but also gateways to cultivating reading habits and stimulating creative thinking. However, the use of fairy tales in contemporary education is waning due to digital learning trends, censorship of outdated ideologies, gender stereotypes, and the preference for darker themes. This decline undermines the cultural and educational richness these stories offer. This paper presents an analysis of the role of fairy tales in early education, assessing their current impact and advocating for their revival. The study utilizes a quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional approach, surveying educators on the applicability and educational merit of fairy tales. Results underscore their importance in education but also reveal reservations about their content and the limited time allocated for their exploration. The study concludes that while fairy tales are essential for holistic education, they need to be approached with sensitivity and a deep understanding of their complexity. Selecting tales that mirror contemporary values is crucial for their effective integration into the modern educational framework.es_ES
