dc.description.abstract | [EN] This assignment studies the design of a propeller and its fitting for controllable aircraft. The propeller design includes from the selection of a suitable airfoil to the design of the blade geometry. Using computational fluid dynamics software, such as Ansys, the process will be optimized. Once the correct calculations and the best airfoil is selected, the 3D design will be carried out using Fusion360. In the case of the hub, the connection point between the propeller and the motor shaft is the most important parameter. This area must be strong enough to withstand the forces and moments generated by each blade. After the design of the socket is considered, the Finite Element Method (FEM) will be used to demonstrate that the loading conditions are satisfied. Beech wood will be used to manufacture the propeller and aluminum will be used for the socket. After finishing both products, a test will be carried out on a test bench and it will be verified that at low speeds the requirements set out in the statement are satisfied | es_ES |
