«¡Hay, Amigo! –dixo ella–, vos seáis bien venido». Replanteamiento del origen de la fórmula de saludo “ser bienvenido” en español

Abstract

[ES] Aunque bien venido sea la fórmula más frecuente del repertorio de saludos del castellano medieval (cf. Romera-Navarro 1930), no ha recibido la atención que merece por parte de los historiadores de la lengua. Con el fin de llenar este vacío, tomamos como base los datos que ofrece la búsqueda sistemática en el CORDE hasta finales del siglo XV para delimitar su origen y su trayectoria evolutiva, comprobar si es una formación autóctona o sigue un modelo foráneo y, finalmente, hallar tanto su distribución sociocultural como sus preferencias discursivas.

[EN] The goal of this paper is to analyze the greeting formula bien venido (‘welcome’) in the history of the Spanish. Although bien venido is the most frequent in the repertoire of medieval Castilian greeting formulae (cf. Romera-Navarro 1930), it has not received the attention. In order to fill this gap, the author takes as a basis the data offered by the systematic search in the medieval texts until the end of the 15th century (CORDE) to outline its origin and its evolutionary trajectory, its sociocultural distribution and its discursive preferences as well.
