AB Shareholders interests play a relevant role in corporate governance. Notwithstanding the different legalregimes across the globe, there is a trend towards converging mechanisms protect shareholdersthrough disclosure and other instruments. Simplification of voting process and procedures to ease thetaking into account of shareholder preferences are matters still to be resolved.
