In potential future clinicalapplications, adipose-derived stem cell cryopreservation is an essential fundamental technology. Theaim of this study is to define an adequate protocol for the cryopreservation of adipose-derived mesenchymalstromal cells, by comparing various protocols so as to determine the effects of cryopreservation onviability and chondrogenic differentiation potential of adipose-derived stem cells upon freeze-thawing ofAT-MSCs colonies cryopreserved with standard and modified protocols, using flow cytometry and confocalmicroscopy. The study concludes that adipose-derived mesenchymal stromal cells could be long-termcryopreserved without any loss of their proliferative or differentiation potential PB Elsevier YR 2017 FD 2017-07-25 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10612/6449 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10612/6449 NO Cryobiology (2015), n. 71 NO P. 256–263 DS BULERIA.
