Study population:1840 nursing and physical therapystudents. The data collection tool used wasa questionnaire. Results: A 32.2% prevalenceof psychological distress was foundin the subjects; a correlation between vigorand psychological distress was foundfor all of the subjects and also for women.High absorption and dedication scores andlow psychological distress scores predictedhigher vigor scores. Conclusion: The riskof psychological distress is high, especiallyfor women. Women seem to have a higherlevel of psychological distress than men. Vigor,energy and mental resilience positivelyinfluence psychological distress and can bea vehicle for better results during the learningand studying process.
