La mesa y la magia en los libros de caballerías: algunos motivos sintagmáticos compuestos

Abstract

[ES] Los banquetes son motivos habituales en muchos libros de caballerías, pues representan una situación cotidiana que brinda a la escena más realismo (lo que permite al lector identificar la estructura cronológica del relato y asociarla a su experiencia), dentro de la atmósfera de ficción. En este trabajo aplicaremos la metodología de investigación de motivos caballerescos y, en sus fases iniciales, haremos uso de la herramienta digital MeMoRam, con el propósito de estudiar la relación que existe entre este tipo de escenas y la irrupción de acontecimientos mágicos en ellas o en su contexto inmediato. Se analizarán distintas combinaciones del motivo del banquete en palacio y diversos motivos mágicos, con el objetivo de establecer la existencia de motivos singulares compuestos. Finalmente, se propondrán unas conclusiones en torno a la tipología de estas combinaciones.

[EN] Banquets are common motifs in many books of chivalry, as they represent an everyday situation that gives the scene more realism (allowing the reader to identify the chronological structure of the story and associate it with their experience), within the atmosphere of fiction. In this work we will apply the methodology of investigation of chivalric motifs and, in its initial phases, we will make use of the digital tool MeMoRam, with the purpose of studying the relationship that exists between this type of scenes and the irruption of magical events in them or in their immediate context. Different combinations of the motif of the banquet in the palace and various magical motifs will be analyzed, with the aim of establishing the existence of singular compound motifs. Finally, conclusions will be proposed regarding the typology of these combinations
