Análisis de la influencia de China en África a través de los casos de Kenia, Níger y Zambia

Abstract

[ES] El imparable crecimiento de China durante estas últimas décadas en los ámbitos económico, científico, militar y diplomático ha conllevado un impulso hacia el exterior en búsqueda de nuevos mercados y socios comerciales. El gigante asiático está dispuesto a liderar el mundo a través del comercio, la tecnología y las infraestructuras. Las reminiscencias de la filosofía confuciana que aún permanecen presentes en la sociedad china están siendo fundamentales para conseguir el ansiado objetivo. Uno de los principales objetivos en esta nueva estrategia china, ha sido el continente africano. La relación entre ambos actores es el eje principal de estudio en el presente trabajo, en el que se plantean los beneficios y desafíos a los que se enfrenta esta relación bilateral, así como la posible intervención de otras potencias con el fin de moderar el expansionismo chino y mantener el equilibrio de poderes en la geoeconomía mundial. Las gran cantidad de recursos humanos y materiales que posee África son el principal aliciente para las inversiones chinas en una relación en la que ambos ganan pero no de forma equilibrada. El continente africano atesora un enorme potencial que debe proteger del oportunismo con el fin de convertir a la región en un lugar seguro para la inversión sostenible y transformadora integral de la economía.

[EN] The unstoppable growth of China during these last decades in economic, scientific, military, and diplomatic fields has led to an outward push in search of new markets and trade partners. The Asian giant is willing to lead the world through trade, technology, and infrastructure. The remnants of Confucian philosophy that still remain present in Chinese society are proving to be fundamental in achieving the desired goal. One of the main objectives in this new Chinese strategy has been the African continent. The relationship between both actors is the main focus of study in this work, where the benefits and challenges faced by this bilateral relationship are discussed, as well as the possible intervention of other powers to moderate Chinese expansionism and maintain the balance of power in global geopolitics. The large quantity of human and material resources that Africa possesses are the main incentive for Chinese investments in a relationship where both parties gain, but not in a balanced manner. The African continent treasures enormous potential that must be protected from opportunism in order to transform the region into a safe place for sustainable and comprehensive economic transformation investment
