Observaciones sobre la pérdida de /f-/ inicial en los primeros procesos inquisitoriales aragoneses (1482-1511)

Abstract

[ES] Frente a lo que sucede en castellano, el mantenimiento de la /f-/ inicial es uno de los rasgos más característicos del romance aragonés, como demuestran la documentación medieval, la toponimia y diversas hablas pirenaicas actuales de la región. Solo en las décadas finales del siglo XV e inicios del siglo XVI empiezan a aparecer en los textos aragoneses casos de pérdida de esta consonante. El objetivo del presente trabajo es indagar en los comienzos de este cambio fonético en Aragón partiendo de una fuente histórica coetánea solo recientemente explorada, como son los primeros procesos del Santo Oficio conservados en el Archivo Histórico Provincial de Zaragoza.

[EN] Contrary to what happens in Spanish, the maintenance of the initial /f-/ is one of the most characteristic features of Aragonese romance, as evidenced by medieval documentation, toponymy and various current Pyrenean languages of this territory. Only in the final decades of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th century did cases of loss of this consonant start to appear in Aragonese texts. The objective of this work is to research the beginnings of this phonetic change in Aragon starting from a contemporary historical source that has only recently been explored, such as the first processes of the Inquisition preserved in the Provincial Historical Archive of Zaragoza.
