Signs of temporary toxicosis at oral <lose levels as small as 16 mg/kg have been observed in this animal species (Smith & Bell, 1971), but a narrow therapeutic index has not been shown for levamisole in goats. So, and based on the high bioavailability and good absorption obtained in this study, the s.c. route appeared to be a practical option for levamisole administration to goats.
