The project evaluates how Directive 2002/65/EC has to date been incorporated into national law, how the different options have been applied by national legislators and which other comparable information rights and duties, arising under existing autonomous national law, have created overlapping or additional barriers to cross-border transactions beyond the scope of the applicable EU regulations.
