Difusos límites en el significado del piropo: Explorando la experiencia y la agencia activista de las mujeres

Abstract

[ES] El piropo callejero es una práctica sociocultural universal que posee diferentes significados, tanto entre quienes los enuncian como entre quienes los reciben. En estas páginas problematizamos sobre el poder de conceptualización de los hechos sociales, en particular confrontamos el significado lingüístico institucional atribuido al piropo con la resignificación reclamada desde los activismos feministas. En el artículo se ha analizado una selección de documentos visuales de carácter contra-hegemónico que describen la agencia de las mujeres sobre este suceso y que induce a iniciar un debate abierto y plural que modifique la definición del diccionario DRAE tomando en consideración la fenomenología femenina.

[EN] Catcalling is a universal sociocultural practice that has different meanings, both among those who enunciate them and among those who receive them. In these pages we problematize about the power of conceptualization of social facts, in particular we confront the institutional linguistic meaning attributed to the catcalling with the resignification claimed from feminist activisms. The article has analyzed a selection of visual alter-hegemonic documents that describe the agency of women phenomenon and that induces an open and plural debate that modifies the definition of the DRAE dictionary taking into consideration the female phenomenology.
