Estereotipos de género en la escuela: estudio de caso con maestras de secundaria, Antioquia-Colombia

Abstract

[ES] Este artículo recoge los resultados de la investigación: “Estereotipos de género en la escuela: estudio de caso con maestras de secundaria” que buscó analizar el lugar asignado a las mujeres en las relaciones sociales, a partir de los estereotipos de género. Como categorías de análisis se abordaron: los estereotipos de género, práctica docente y pedagogías críticas. El enfoque metodológico es cualitativo; la técnica de recolección de información es entrevista semi-estructurada; por último, se acudió al análisis interpretativo para sistematizar. Dentro de los hallazgos se identificaron: la existencia de la discriminación por género; aún no se logra ver los estereotipos de género como una problemática; y, por último, falta consolidar unas herramientas de investigación que permitan la profundización de estos temas.

[EN] This article collects the results of the investigation: “Gender stereotypes in school: a case study with secondary school teachers” that sought to analyze the place assigned to women in social relations, based on gender stereotypes. As categories of analysis, the following were addressed: gender stereotypes, teaching practice and crítical pedagogies. The methodological approach is qualitative; the data collection technique is a semi-structured interview; Finally, the interpretive analysis was used to systematize. Among the findings, the following were identified: the existence of gender discrimination; gender stereotypes are still not seen as a problem; and, finally, it is necessary to consolidate research tools that allow the deepening of these issues.
