Primeras evidencias arqueológicas del asedio romano al castro de Las Labradas-El Marrón (Arrabalde, Zamora) durante el Bellum Asturicum

Abstract

[ES] Se presentan una serie de datos obtenidos de la interpretación de imágenes LiDAR (MDT y MDE), así como de ortofotografías históricas de la Sierra de Carpurias, especialmente al este del castro de Las Labradas-El Marrón. Se estima que dichos datos deben ponerse en relación con la existencia de un campamento y un posible castellum, como indicios más importantes, que podrían formar parte del dispositivo establecido por los romanos para asediar y conquistar ese importante oppidum astur.

[EN] Data obtained from the interpretation of LiDAR-derived Digital Terrain Models (DTM) as well as historical orthophotographs of the Sierra de Carpurias, especially to the east of Las Labradas-El Marrón hillfort, are presented. It is suggested that these data represent significant evidence pointing to the existence of a roman camp and a possible castellum, which could have formed part of siege works established by the Romans to conquer that important oppidum of the Astures.
