[EN] The aviation industry generates about 1.3% of global carbon dioxide emissions. To solve this problem, the goal has been set to reduce CO2 emissions by 75% by 2050. To achieve this, it is essential to develop and implement new technologies that provide energy-saving solutions with a low environmental impact. In the transport sector, this approach has led to the electrification of vehicles due to the greater efficiency of these systems. Over the last 30 years, the scientific community has been interested in moving towards electrified aviation systems in order to develop the More Electric Aircraft. Since the beginning of modern aviation, there has been a constant evolution in the manner in which electricity is generated on board, with a continuous increase in the power required to meet the aircraft's needs. Following this progression and the intentions of the industry mentioned above, the implementation of new power generation, management and distribution technologies is necessary, with more efficient generator topologies, new stateof- the-art power electronics and high voltage distribution grids, e.g. By studying the state of the art of on-board power generation, four topologies appear that could be used in the future More Electric Aircraft: induction, field-wound synchronous, reluctance and permanent magnet machines; the latter being the most interesting due to their high power density, efficiency and compact design. The main suppliers of these permanent magnet machines are reviewed and their main generators compared. Regarding power electronic systems, the different interfaces are studied together with their advantages and disadvantages; as well as their different uses and applications and the latest technological advances. In order to propose a suitable electrical architecture for a future More Electric Military Aircraft, the electrical architecture of the Lockheed Martin F-35, the military aircraft with the most advanced electrical architecture, is first explored, studying the different programs leading up to its development and analyzing its main electrical systems: the electrohydrostatic actuation system, the thermal and energy management system and the electrical power system. Finally, taking into account the necessary requirements to conform the electrical subsystems of the F-35, and the state of the art of electrical generation and distribution technologies; an electrical architecture model for the Future More Electric Military Aircraft is designed with the Simscape Electrical library in the Matlab Simulink simulation environment, which is capable of effectively regulating the voltage; with which typical mission profile tests can be performed and the behavior of the system can be studied.
