Estilo de vida y bienestar de la generación Z en estudiantes universitarios españoles y estadounidenses

Abstract

[ES] El estilo de vida es diferente en cada individuo y sirve para explicar el comportamiento y relación con la sociedad. Se puede ver influenciado por muchos aspectos externos entre ellos la cultura, de ahí que este trabajo se centre en estudiar el estilo de vida en España y Estados Unidos reflejándolo en los estudiantes universitarios de la generación Z para estudiar las diferencias y similitudes entre ambas culturas, utilizando la metodología del modelo AIO (Actividades, Intereses y Opiniones). Y también se realiza un estudio sobre el bienestar en los estudiantes universitarios con el modelo MHC-SF (Model Health Continuum Short Form). Con el fin de alcanzar los objetivos planteados en el trabajo, se llevó a cabo una encuesta personal online de 210 estudiantes en la Universidad de León en España y la Universidad Central Estatal de Connecticut en Estados Unidos. Junto con técnicas cualitativas previas para la obtención de información con entrevistas en profundidad y dinámicas de grupo. Con la recolección de los datos se llevó a cabo la utilización de diversas técnicas estadísticas para su análisis como la extracción de factores para los constructos de estilo de vida y bienestar, consiguiendo así una interpretación entre las diferencias y similitudes entre estudiantes universitarios españoles y estadounidenses.

[EN] The lifestyle is different in each individual and explains the behavior and relationship with society. It can be influenced by many external aspects including culture; hence this project focuses on studying the lifestyle in Spain and the United States reflecting it in college students of generation Z to study the differences and similarities between both cultures, using the methodology of the AIO model (Activities, Interests and Opinions). And a study on well-being in university students is also carried out with the MHC-SF model (Model Health Continuum Short Form). In order to achieve the objectives set out in the work, a personal online survey of 210 students was carried out at the University of León in Spain and the Central Connecticut State University in the United States. Along with previous qualitative techniques for obtaining information with in-depth interviews and group dynamics. With the collection of the data, the use of various statistical techniques was carried out for its analysis, such as the extraction of factors for the constructs of lifestyle and well-being, thus achieving an interpretation between the differences and similarities between Spanish and American college students.
